In 2013 Barilla decided to export the Mediterranean Diet and its values overseas by opening the first Barilla Restaurant in NY. It was a huge success, and the food company expanded the venture, first opening of two more venues in New York and then creating a franchisee framework replicating restaurant’s format all over the world starting in Dubai, UAE.
